What: Rescue Benefit Event
When: July 25, Saturday 2014
Where: Critter Jungle, 1405 Carling Avenue, Ottawa ON Canada
Time: 10 am to 4pm

Volunteers from CCRT and DSD look forward to greeting visitors to the carnival themed event, complete with face painting, pet photos and pampering, cotton candy and a bake sale. A silent auction will feature a variety of themed gift baskets and there will be Great Danes and

Chihuahuas on hand ready to give all the love they have at the “Kiss a Pooch” kissing booth. Our goal is to ensure people choose to ‘adopt, not shop’ and to consider one of the 20+ dog rescue groups in Ottawa, including CCRT and DSD, when looking to add a furry new member to their family.

About Great Dane Rescue

Dames Saving Danes (DSD) is a breed-specific, foster-based rescue in the Nation’s capital and surrounding area dedicated to helping abandoned, abused and surrendered Great Danes find well suited forever homes.

DSD prides themselves on their ability to match the rescued Great Dane with the most appropriate adopter regardless of family composition, living environment, and lifestyle.

They achieve this through a process of extensive screening, education, rehabilitation as well as continued follow-up contact after adoption all with the aid of a great team of committed volunteers, approved foster homes and local veterinarians helping to achieve their goals. DSD is an Ontario non-profit corporation.

About the Chihuahua Rescue

The Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport (CCRT) is a network of volunteers working together to rescue, transport, foster and provide necessary veterinary care for homeless, abandoned, neglected, or abused Chihuahuas.

The CCRT is a national, registered charity founded in 1999 and has helped almost 1,500 dogs since inception thanks to the 100+ volunteers across Canada who devote their time to the group mandate.
