Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ottawa Chapter

Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ottawa Chapter

Canadian Dachshund Rescue has an active chapter in Ottawa and they are participating in Ottawa Pet Expo this year. They’ll have a bunch of cuties in the booth – come and meet them, and perhaps explore the opportunities to volunteer or even foster a wiener dog!

The Canadian Dachshund Rescue (Ontario) has an active chapter in Ottawa. Volutneer Marie-Eve Talbot reported in to Furever on what they’ll be up to in their booth (# 428).

Marie Eve writes “The whole Ottawa team are excited to be attending Ottawa Pet Expo this year. We will be hosting a couple of our four legged friends and many of our dedicated volunteers. Stop by and learn more about rescuing these long, loveable dogs. Chat with our volunteers and learn how you can get involved with rescuing and rehoming dachshunds in need. Peruse our items for sale, chat with our volunteers and be sure to shake paws with Abby and Sadie.”

Dachshund Rescue Ottawa Ambassadors

Sadie and Abby are rescued dogs from http://www.canadiandachshundrescue.com/ attending the show. Sadie has been adopted but will be there to help educate about irresponsible breeding. She is a double-dapple, which means that two dapple doxies were bred together and because of this, she has health issues. She was born with only one eye and can’t see very well out of it. She is also deaf.

Abby will also be there. Marie-Eve describes her “She is a very sweet, tiny tiny dachshund girl who will soon be available for adoption!! We’ll soon have her professional photography taken too – then you will really see her wonderful personality shine through even in a photograph!”

If you can not attend the Ottawa Pet Expo, you can have a virtual one-on-one experience with Canadian Dachshund Rescue volunteer Meaghan Middleton-Firman, here in the Feature Video Furever produced for the rescue. Watch and be inspired!
