Doberman Pinscher German Shepherd Puppy, Meet Bayne

Doberman Pinscher German Shepherd Puppy, Meet Bayne

Bayne is a high energy Doberman Pinscher German Shepherd Dog cross that is just one year old, still a puppy with lots of puppy character! Bayne knows basic commands such as sit, down and come and has fantastic recall when he is off-leash. We are working on the “stay” command. He is a very loving dog that looks at you with his soulful eyes and his hard to get mad at. He loves to cuddle at night and has to be touching his person when he is sleeping.

This dog likes being outdoors, is very quiet (does not bark at passerbys) and has been seen entertaining himself by playing “catch” by himself or playing with other toys. He does require some supervision as he does tend to dig (working on correcting this) when bored. And of course, every dog will be thirsty after such activities. That’s why we advise you to pay attention to portable dog water bottle. It will be very useful in such situations.

Bayne loves other animals and enjoys playing with cats and dogs. He does need some work on the leash, and we are working on his pulling. While on walks or runs he does not acknowledge other dogs or people and is just happy to be out.

Adoptable Doberman Pinscher German Shepherd Puppy

He needs a loving family with patience and time to properly train him. He does not like the crate much yet, and is left home roaming free in the house with two large dogs and two cats for nine hours from Monday to Friday. He does have some separation anxiety that the other animals are helping with; however, he does have the occasional “accident” inside the house.

Bayne is not food aggressive and lets other animals eat in piece. Currently working on his manners to curtail things such as jumping up on people and mouthing. When Bayne mouths and jumps up on people, he is asked to go to “bed” – he then goes to his dog bed or is gently guided there with a toy.

Like many young dogs his age that have not had the advantage of consistent training, Bayne would do well with a family that has the time and patience to continue the training he is now receiving, as well as other animals to keep him company. Kids in the family would be best if older than 10 years of age.
