I knew I wanted a rescue dog, there was no question. I had been constantly watching the Toronto Humane Society and OSPCA websites. Last year in June, we bought a new house with a fair sized yard. But before we moved into the new house, we still lived in our tiny condo. We were also planning our wedding. It was going to be a destination wedding to take place in January 2014. Everyone I knew would be with us, so if we got a dog too soon, we would be crammed into the condo but more importantly, we figured no one we knew and trusted would be available to take care of our new-to-us rescue dog.
So being responsible, we postponed the rescue plan.
The very next day after coming back from our wedding vacation, we headed right to the OSPCA in Newmarket. When got to the shelter, we saw two beagles sitting quietly and waggling, while other dogs were barking loud.
These poor little beagles got abandoned twice by two different owners. When I looked into Daisy’s eyes, she looked so innocent and sad. The shelter wished they could be adopted together. Watson was 7 and Daisy was 4. Both of them were so sweet. So we decided to adopt both of them together!
Happy Tails Beagle Rescue
They are such sweet pups and so well behaved. They’ve given us so much happiness and added colour to my family. My mom and my sister love them so much, they often think about my pups and buy snacks for them. These pups don’t deserve ending up in the shelter, they deserve a FAMILY! And that’s just what we gave them. They have given my life happiness all the time. I love them!
