About Sharon Dunsmore
Sharon currently manages a Private Practice dealing with dogs with issues as well as playing primarily in Agility with her own dogs. For 20 years Sharon Dunsmore was an Emergency Room Nurse and a Critical Care Educator. She got involved with dogs first as a hobby and then as a full time business. She has truly “gone to the dogs” in the best possible way, and for the past 25 years, she has run her own Dog Training Center, breeding and living with a pack of Bearded Collies, and using observational skills developed in the fast paced world of Emergency Nursing. Her pack of dogs exhibited behaviors that seemed to go against the traditional interpretations of most of the literature. It became clear she needed to research more, and delve into that side of the dog’s world, where myths abound. She developed this workshop as a response to the need she saw for education and understanding of the many dog behaviors she is privileged to witness, and uses the most recent research.
