Cynthia and Christopher and their two chihuahuas Minnie and Chewey are a volunteer foster family newly joined with Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport. Their first foster assignment is a new foster “kid” named Oliver. Rescue dogs have often faced difficult circumstances in their lives but, with some patience, love and training, they can become an amazing and very rewarding part of the family. Cynthia and Christopher acted on their belief that together we can make a difference, so they are fostering Oliver, a puppy mill rescue dog who is just 5 months old. We are sure that Oliver will also fit into his temporary home just fine because he has youth on his side.
Cynthia and Christopher have not-so-secret weapon when it comes to helping a puppy miller like Oliver – their own two dogs. As an older dog who came from a family-friend breeder, Minnie is very comfortable around people, happy and loves to eat. Cynthia was only 14 years old when she got her. Meanwhile, Chewy is a rescue dog, adopted as a playmate for his furry sister, taking a little time to adjust to his furever home, but making amazing progress all the time.
